I wrote these essays in late (i.e., November / December) 1983.  They were selected to be among the winning entries in the Honeywell Futurist Awards competition; among other prizes, I won an all-expenses paid trip to Minneapolis in February, 1984.  Alvin Toffler was the keynote speaker at the awards banquet.  While some parts of the essays are a little hokey, they are overall quite accurate and picked out a couple of key trends and problems.

Essay 1:  Computers

Essay 2:  Electronic Communication

Essay 3:  Societal Impact
